# Set Up MetaMask Wallet

### STEP 1. Get Ready for Installation

**1–1. Visit the Official Site**\
&#x20;Go to <https://metamask.io/download.html>\
&#x20;※ Make sure the URL is correct to avoid fake versions.

**1–2. Install the Browser Extension**

* On the homepage, click the **Chrome** icon
* Click **Add to Chrome**
* Then click **Add Extension** to complete the installation\
  &#x20;(After installation, you’ll see the MetaMask icon on the top-right corner of your browser.)

### STEP 2. Create Your Wallet

**2–1. Launch MetaMask**

* Click the **Get Started** button
* Scroll to the bottom of the terms page
* Check the box to agree to the terms
* Click **Agree**

**2–2. Create a New Wallet**

* Click **Create a New Wallet**
* Then click **Continue with Secret Recovery Phrase**

### STEP 3. Set Your Password & Seed Phrase

**3–1. Set Your Password**

* Enter a password for login
* Agree to the security info by checking the box
* Click **Create Password**
* Review the next info page, then click **Get Started**

**3–2. View Your Secret Recovery Phrase**

* Click **Tap to Reveal Secret Words**
* Write down all 12 words in a safe place
* Click **Continue**

📝 **What’s a Secret Recovery Phrase?**

* It’s a **set of 12 English words** used to restore your wallet.
* &#x20;Never share it with anyone. If lost, you can’t recover your wallet.
* &#x20;Do **not** save it online. Use **offline methods like paper** instead.

**3–3. Confirm Your Phrase**

* Select the 12 words in the correct order
* Click **Continue**

Finally, choose whether to allow anonymous data collection to improve MetaMask.\
Click **No Thanks** or **I Agree** to proceed.

### STEP 4. You’re All Set!

Your MetaMask wallet is now ready!\
